Starboard Rider Iain McFarland Finishes Atop East Coast World Paddle Association Rankings
After a long and tough race season, Starboard Team Rider Iain McFarland finished 1st in the Unlimited race division on the East Coast. With races from Florida and up the East Coast, Iain managed to accumulate enough points and take the 2010 title.
“I couldn’t have ever imagined in my first year of racing that I would have been able to meet so many amazing people and be so blessed with my new found friends. SUP has allowed myself to find and reach levels I never thought were possible and cannot wait for the 2011 season to start.”
Iain was diagnosed with SVT (Supra Ventricular Tachycardia) back in 2004 and had heart surgery to correct his complications. He continually pushes himself and helps to prove that anyone can overcome adversity.
