The Severne Story

We started this sail brand for 2 reasons; we love this sport, and secondly, we want to build sails that help people like you enjoy windsurfing as much as we do. Already, the second part of the plan is well on track, this is illustrated by our test winning S-1, S-2, C2 and NCX results from all over the planet. This year, we have shown our commitment to the sport by presenting the best wave sailing contest the world has seen for years ? the SEVERNE PWA Hawaii PRO.

Like all good companies, the core strength of SEVERNE lies in the people behind the brand; the people with the imagination, drive, and technical expertise to bring these visions to life. People like Svein Rasmussen, Trent Pedersen, Jesper Orth, Clinton Filen, Mark Pattison. And what makes this mix so special is that they are ALL fanatical windsurfers, grabbing their time on the water at every opportunity.

  • Based in Perth, Western Australia
  • Severne built their first sails in Geraldton, Australia about the end of 2002 but didn’t do any real production until 2004
  • Early adopters of CAD (Computer Aided Design) in the field of sail design
