AGE: 44
LOCATION: Hood River, OR.
RIDING DISCIPLINE(S): The 2012 Razors are my weapon of choice with the feet mostly in boots or a strapless surfboard.
A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF:
I moved from Seattle to Hood River full time in 1996 to follow my wind addiction. Adam Koch first strapped me to a kite in 2000 at Rufus and scared me enough to take up the sport. I followed my kiting passion to Maui to work for Naish in 2007, and after three years and a serious Maui burn out, I returned to Hood River where David Tyberski handed me a Razor to try. Did not take long to bug him enough to get a full quiver.
Presently I work full time for Insitu on UAV’s and kite as much as possible in the summer. Also within the past six years I have gotten heavily into ACRO paragliding, speedflying, and BASE. If ripstop nylon, wind, or freefall are involved, I’m there!
FAVORITE PLACES TO RIDE:
Anywhere I can shed the wetsuit. My most memorable session was a surf session at Punta Abreojos, Baja, where we lived on the beach for three weeks.
GOALS FOR 2012: Try to ride more like John Perry. Man I wish I was young again!
